Aint Beach trek

Impromptu hike on a Sunday Morning with Melissa, from the Badass Lady Hikers. We went to Aint beach, a beautiful little village not far from Muscat with a great wadi and hills around to hike and explore. The hike is marked with white arrows but you have to look out plus there is construction going on which changes the access point - so you might have to get creative.

It is a very nice and calm area, with very few visitors. Melissa says they come here to paddle regularly, they have seen reef sharks, turtles and they are usually alone. It is quite astonishing knowing that Muscat center is less than 30 min drive from here!

Important: if you want to hike the beaches you have to check the tide times (or this page) and go when it is low tide. Tide has to be below 2m to be able to walk the coastline with dry feet.
Location for parking: 23.6322,58.5493

Start of the wadi around 23.6295,58.5506. You follow the wadi, there are white arrows but really there is only way once inside the wadi.
View point23.6295,58.5506 From here you have to descend to the beach, there is no clear path and there are loads of loose rocks so be careful!
Loop hike, overall with chatting and leisurely walking it took us 2 hours to finish the loop.
Check the tide times and only attempt to walk around the beach at low tide or you might need to swim !

They are building everywhere (no wonder, great place) - we just continued walking and passed this sign.
