Salalah
Salalah, or more precisely Dhofar region is just a different world all together. The climate is much more balanced across the year - you never hit the extreme 40+s there - and this is a region where the autumn comes in summer... The famous khareef (which means autumn in Arabic) season from July-September brings the monsoon with low temperatures and rain - unique in the Middle East. During the winter the temperature lingers between 20-30 degrees and the Arabian Sea is just splendid. While we loved the khareef in Salalah, we can say confidently that winter in Salalah is just as fantastic and our winter holiday was just perfect there! It seems, Salalah is just the perfect destination all year around! (More or less - May and the time just before khareef starts is not recommended: warm and humid.)
