Tawi Attair (video)

Tawi Attair is a sinkhole in Dhofar and the name means birds' well. You can only understand the name once you actually hike to the sinkhole - the concert they give it just fantastic! The parking and the walk to the viewing platform is rather boring - exactly as we concluded last December. But if you jump the fence and ignore the warning sign you will have a great little trek! At parts the path is steep but absolutely doable and eventually leads to the left over the of the old viewing platform. Is is totally worth for the time!

Location for parking: 17.1140,54.5579. No need for 4WD, short hike younger kids should be ok.
