Al Hinn Sulfur Springs - the mini "Blue Lagoon" of the Middle East

We are having a little break from camping after our Salalah road-trip and therefore we are focusing on ticking off few places around Muscat from our to-visit list we we decided to go for Al Hinn Sulfur Spings and Wadi Sa'al (read about our trip here). Al Hinn Sulfur Springs are little further away so we started there. We would not recommend to drive from Muscat only to see Al Hinn - but it was a good detour.

Water levels seemed to be at the low end but the color of that little water was amazing - it did reminded us the Blue Lagoon! We saw pictures online people dipping into the pool - we did not do, it was really not much water there. It is an easy drive, all the way paved roads.

Salon car is ok, you can walk into the wadi and make it a more longer hike or just check out the pools around the parking.

The road is very scenic with the mountains in the background, but when we reached the coordinates and saw this, we were not too impressed (location: 23.3225,58.2281):

But it only took a short walk to realize we were wrong!

The sulfur springs are close to Bidbid and we took the backroad from there to Wadi Sa'al. As we got closer to Bidbid, we passed by few villages which looked really charming with many old buildings and even a ruin! Old villas can have so much character and this blue one really stood out - had to stop to take some pictures! Few kids run over and with little English and more pantomime they explained that the house is haunted :).
