Daymaniat Islands - turtles and reef sharks

We were supposed to have a sleepover on the island enjoying the perfect night sky while listening to the see around us .. unfortunately the ministry decided not to issue permits due to COVID (beyond me since we were only 3 families, outdoors..) so we did the next best thing and went for snorkeling. While the whalesharks are gone we were not left without sharks: we saw many black tip reef sharks cruising below us in all sizes. Sometimes 4-5 at the same time! We also saw turtles, a small murray, see snake and stone fish. We were exhausted and happy for sure by the end of the day! 

 

We certainly need to upgrade our underwater camera :) These photos are from the captain of the boat, made with Gopro (ok, him actually diving and getting close makes a difference as well..)
