Daymaniat Islands - swimming with whale sharks

Daymaniat Island is a nature reserve close to Muscat shores - it only takes 40 minutes by boat to reach. It is uninhabited but possible to camp there outside nesting season - which we hope to do so in November. It is composed of 9 islands and it is home of plenty of coral reefs and large number of sea turtles who nest here. We took a day trip with 2 snorkeling opportunities - one was focused on the whale sharks and the second one was in a bay of the biggest island where we could enjoy the coral reefs and swim with turtles.

We went with Daymaniat Shells - a company owned by a local Omani guy, Captain Fahad who seems to know every square inch of the islands and their surrounding  and have great respect for nature .
